Use the full-color LCD touchscreen to select stitches and edit machine settings. With an array of 240 stitches, it may be difficult to remember which presser foot to use with what stitch. The intelligent Skyline S7 displays the recommended presser foot for each stitch as you select it. Program stitch combinations and save them directly to the machine s memory for use later.

One-Touch Buttons

Equipped with convenient one-touch buttons, the Skyline S7 allows you to switch tasks smoothly. You will find the following options along the front of the machine: start stop, reverse, auto-lock, needle up down, thread cutter, and speed control slider. With these buttons, you can raise or lower the needle, prevent your stitches from coming undone, trim threads, and set the speed control slider to low, medium, or high for precise sewing at comfortable speeds.

Drop Feed

The Skyline S7 has a built-in lever that, when pressed, automatically lowers the feed dogs so you can quickly switch to free-motion quilting.

Bobbin Winder

This machine comes with a built-in bobbin winder & cutter that makes filling bobbins a breeze. You can keep multiple bobbins on hand, so you have the perfect thread color for every project!

7-Piece Feed Dogs

Get professional-quality stitches on Janome s Skyline S7 with the help of the 7-piece feed dog system. This 7-piece feed dog system ensures a more consistent fabric feed, keeping layers from shifting as you sew.

PRESSER FOOT LIFT

The S6 features an extra-high presser foot lift. This additional space makes it easier to sew multilayer projects, so there is no more struggling to fit thick fabrics like denim and fleece under your presser foot.

One-Step Needle Plate Conversion

Changing out the needle plate could not be easier on the Skyline S7. Simply remove the extension table, raise the needle and presser foot, push down the needle plate release lever, swap the needle plate out for the new one, lock it into place, and you are ready to sew.

The Skyline S7 offers 91 unique needle positions. These different positions allow for more detail in decorative stitches and stunning fine adjustments in all stitch creations. And with the 9mm stitch width, this sort of bold detail can be easily appreciated.

Free Arm | Built-in Storage

Once you remove the extension table, you can access your machine s free arm, making cuffs, hems, and circular projects more accessible. Also located in the bed of the S7 is a small storage space for bobbins, needles, and other small notions. There s even an additional storage space for presser feet on top of the machine by the bobbin winder.

Pivot Function

When sewing circles or corners, changing directions smoothly is a must. When the pivot function is being used, the machine will stop with the needle lowered (in the fabric), and the presser foot is automatically raised to an appropriate height. Foot height can be modified in the settings. This function is useful for stopping the machine to rotate the fabric.

With a medley of 240 built-in stitches, there are inexhaustible creative stitch combinations available to you. The on-board stitch chart shows all included stitches and their reference numbers, making it easy to select your desired stitch. Choose from 21 utility, 15 buttonholes, 14 applique, 28 heirloom, 51 quilt, 14 satin, 7 bridge, 60 decorative, 9 long, 14 pictograph, 7 play, stitches for the straight stitch needle plate and 7 different alphabet numerical sttiches.

Variable Zig Zag

Cutting-edge tools allow for creative expression. The Skyline S7 features a Variable Zig Zag. This enables precision control over the stitch width using the knee lift! Begin with a straight stitch, then while the machine is still running, press against the knee lifter to widen your stitch to a 9mm zigzag. Release pressure to gradually return to a straight stitch for a tapered finish. Don t want a 9mm stitch? You can easily control the maximum width of the stitch setting in the machine s set mode.

Stitch Composer

Can you ever have enough decorative stitches? Your machine comes with plenty to get you started, but you can undoubtedly enjoy creating your own! The Stitch Composer software is included with the Skyline S7 and enables you to create unique original stitches or modify existing ones. Using the built-in USB port, you can easily transfer them to the machine.
